Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. (Eclesiastes 9:10).<\/h2>\n\n

After Christ’s ascension, the disciples were tempted to remain hidden.<\/p>\n\n

From their fears, perhaps they expected God to send someone special. <\/p>\n\n

Or perhaps they planned to work on reaching “perfection” before starting their work.<\/p>\n\n

However, Jesus only commanded them to wait until they “received power from on high”. Then they would have to act.<\/p>\n\n

In the same way, sometimes we receive God’s command to act. But since we feel weak and incapable, we decide to wait until we consider that we are sufficiently capable.<\/p>\n\n

The problem is that, in spiritual things, we will never be capable enough on our own.<\/p>\n\n

We must learn to surrender our doubts to God and trust in His mercy and wisdom.<\/p>\n\n

That is why it is good to remember the words of the book of Ecclesiastes in chapter 9 and verse 10:<\/p>\n\n

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

When God entrusts us with a responsibility, it is normal to feel insecure, and it is good to seek to improve our capabilities.<\/p>\n\n

However, we must remember that the Holy Spirit has already been poured out. And He completes what we lack.<\/p>\n\n

So if God gives you the order to start a task, don’t excuse yourself like Jeremiah, don’t delay, and get going.<\/p>\n\n

If you are obedient, and just as He did with Moses, God will go with you.<\/p>\n\n
