Joshua had an extraordinary mission: to lead the people of Israel in the reconquest of the Promised Land.
But God did not offer him, as He did Solomon, the possibility of asking for some gift to help him.
However, He gave him something better, He gave him a promise: He would carry out his mission as long as he kept the Word of God as his guide, as his bedside book.
Joshua was to find in the Book light, wisdom and direction to fulfill his calling.
And the same applies to us.
Therefore, if you want to develop God’s plan for your life, keep your Bible close by.
Apply its principles, seek more of God in it, and live it every day.
And you will see how God’s plan becomes a reality in your life, in spite of the opposition of our adversary.
