We have been in a suspended state of “normal” life for many months.
Confinement, distancing, social bubbles, schedule restrictions… have changed the way we relate and work, the way we live.
And the question we all ask ourselves is “until when?”. When will we be able to return to our normal life?
The answer depends on what you mean by “normal life“.
Because if what you understand is to go back to living as you did before I’m afraid the answer is, never.
We have lost friends and family.
We have lost jobs.
We have lost our health.
We are not the same as when the pandemic started.
Our whole world has been shaken, and the ground on which we move has become unstable and insecure.
We cannot move forward steadily, because at every step our assurances and expectations collapse.
But we need that solid ground.
If this is your case let me tell you that there is hope, a firm rock to lean on.
And that rock is Christ.
In Him we will find hope.
But not a hope seen as a wish or an illusion, but as an absolute certainty.
We are safe in your hands.
Even if everything changes, He remains faithful. Even if people are missing, He will always be with us. Though the world sinks into darkness, He is still the Light.
Christ is the strong rock on which we can build our future, knowing that nothing can hinder God’s purpose for our lives.
Remember his words: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24-25).
Don’t long to go back to the old normal when Christ has an exceptional life for you.
