The extra mile
Throughout our lives God will bring us into situations where we will be asked to “go the extra mile”.
And His goal is not to annoy us or keep us entertained. His goal is to get us to the finish line.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened
But this coming is not a mere approach to Jesus. It is to go to Him to stay at His feet, it is to cling to Him and not leave Him until He blesses us.
My dear children… will not sin
God’s command is clear, if we want to follow his ways we must live apart from evil.
But the Lord looks at the heart
To be a Christian is not to fulfill some rites, to be a Christian is to live the life of God, in love and for love. It is to show the light of God to a world that lives in darkness.
Call (cry out) to me and I will answer you
To cry out is to ask or call with vehemence, it is a verb that denotes deep longing and intensity in action, and it is something that God never discards.
Seek peace, and pursue it
A true peacemaker will raise his voice and work for the truth and justice of the Gospel to bring freedom and peace.
Resilience and Faith
In times of crisis there is a word that is repeated a lot: Resilience. However, I like this one better: Faith. The first expresses self-confidence. The second one focuses on God.
