God’s command is clear, if we want to follow his ways we must live apart from evil.
But time after time we stumble and fall. And with each fall we run an even greater risk: not getting up.
Because if there is one thing our adversary knows how to use very well, it is our sense of guilt.
First he incites us, and if we fall he accuses us.
Sinning deprives us of blessings, and can have permanent consequences in our lives.
However, if there is real repentance the verse offers us hope: We have an advocate in Christ.
Therefore, if you want to lead a spiritual life of victory, cling to God, seek the filling of His Holy Spirit, and do not sin.
But if you sin, don’t add an even greater sin: not repenting.
